LBA JUNIOR ACADEMY

 
 

OUR GOAL

The LBA Jr. Academy will focus on skill development with specific emphasis on:

1. Basic skills such as stationary ball handling, dynamic ball handling, shooting, passing, and pivoting.

2. Advanced offensive skills include spacing, screening, reading screens, using and reading ball screens, passing angles, moving without the ball, pressure release tactics, zone principles, 1 on 1 strategies, and many more.

3. Advanced defensive skills include specific individual skills (i.e. closeouts, defense off the ball, rebounding, trapping, rotations) and team skills (i.e. defending actions such as various ball screens, pin downs, dribble hand offs, staggered screens, flare screens, screen/screener action and many more).

4. Advanced team concepts such as transition offense and defense, points of attack, communication, zone attack concepts, press offense concepts, time and score situation, and many more.

 

The selected team will receive:

Skill Development Sessions (Sept 10 - Nov 1)

  • 3 days per week

  • Approx. 18-20 sessions

Skill Development Sessions II (Nov 1 – Dec 19)

  • 2 days per week

  • Approx. 12-14 sessions

Strength & Conditioning Sessions (Sep - Dec)

  • 8 sessions

Two NJC Tournaments (Nov 22-24, Dec 20-22)

  • GTA

Iceman Invitational Tournament (London)

  • Date TBD
